How do I ensure necessary assistance for a disabled passenger?
If you need help getting a disabled passenger, just make it clear when booking your ticket. If you are unable to make your inquiry during booking, ask the traveler to arrive at the airport two hours before scheduled departure and contact us for assistance. The rest you can safely leave to us; we assure your customer the necessary help.
What requirements do you make for minors to travel alone?
- All children under the age of two are referred to as "infantas".
- Children under five years are not allowed to travel alone with Copa Airlines.
- Children aged five and up can travel alone, provided the following rules are adhered to:
- The child must arrive at the airport together with an adult who must sign relevant papers and remain at the airport until 30 minutes after departure.
- Copa Airlines’ employees must have informed who receives the child at the arrival airport.
- The person receiving the child must be able to present a photo ID
- Legal rules and requirements and necessary visas, etc. regarding the child must comply with the provisions laid down by the migration authorities.
- Children up to seven years are not allowed to travel by connecting airplance, i.e. only from departure directly to arrival destination
- Children between the ages of eight and 14 can use air connections and travel by stopovers
- Travelers between the ages of 15 and 17 can receive special assistance throughout the flight
How do I secure the neccssary assistance to senior passengers with Copa Airlines?
If you need special assistance for a senior passenger, simply state it when booking the ticket. If you are unable to make your inquiry during the booking process, ask the traveler to arrive at the airport no later than two hours before scheduled departure and contact our staff.

If the customer has a transit ticket from Denmark with Lufthansa, KLM or others, where Copa is what we sall a SUB carrier (subcontractor) from Panama City PTY, baggage rules from the airline on which the ticket is issued apply.
If the travel/ticket is issued at KLM, KLM's baggage rules apply. If the travel/ticket is issued at Lufthansa, LH's baggage rules etc. apply.
