Checked luggage

Travelers at Economy Class can bring 1 piece of checked baggage of a maximum of 23 kg and with a total size per pcs. luggage up to a maximum of 158 cm (height + width + depth). 
Travelers on Business Class can bring up to 2 pieces checked baggage of a maximum of 23 kg each, and with a total sixe per pcs. up to a maximum of 158 cm (height + width + depth).
PreferMember (Gold, Platinum and Presidential) as well as StarAlliance Gold passengers can carry up to 2 pieces checked baggage of a maximum of 32 kg each and with a total size per pcs. up to a maximum of 158 cm (height + width + depth).

Hand luggage

Travelers can bring 1 piece of hand luggage with a maximum of 10 kg, and a total dimension of 115 cm (height + length + depth). In addition to the allowable luggage, each traveler can bring an extra personal item, visit our luggage information for more information.  

Internationale Routes

Checked luggage 

Economy Class travelers can bring a maximum of 1 piece checked luggage with a maximum of 23 kg and a total dimension of not more than 158 cm (height + width + depth). 

Economy Class travelers on certain routes (see below)  as well as PreferMember members with Silver status can carry a maximum of 2 checked baggage with a weight of 23 kg each and a total size per pcs. at a maximum of 158 cm (height + width + depth).
(Applies to Economy Class travelers between North America (excluding Mexico) and Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay) 

Business Class travelers as well as PreferMember Silver member can carry a maximum of 2 checked baggage with a weight of maximum 32 kg each. Each piece of luggage must be a maximum of 158 cm (height + width + depth).

Travelers who are a member of PreferMember (Presidential Platinum and Gold) or Star Alliance Gold can carry a maximum of three pieces of luggage with a weight per pcs. of a maximum of 32 kg. Each piece of luggage must be a maximum of 158 cm (height + width + depth).

Hand luggage

Economy Class travelers as well as memebers of PreferMember Silver and Star Alliance Silver can bring 1 piece of hand luggage with a maximum of 10 kg, and a total dimension of 118 cm (height + lenght + depth). In addition ot the allowable luggage, each traveler can bring an extra personal item. Visit our luggage information for more information. 

Business Class travelers as well as members of PreferMember Gold, Platinium and Presidential as well as Star Alliance Gold can carry 2 pieces of luggage with a maximum weight of 10 pg per piece, and a total target per piece up to a maximum of 118 cm (height + width + depth).
However, not on flights departing from the United States, where a maximum of 1 piece of hand luggage still can be carried.
